What Does Peace Look Like (Acrostic Poem)
Peace-noun
a state of tranquility or quiet, such as:
freedom from civil disturbance
a state of security or order within a community provided for by law or custom
freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions
harmony in personal relations
a state or period of mutual concord between governments
a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity
used interjectionally to ask for silence or calm or as a greeting or farewell
Possibilities are constantly being dreamed of — the day when there are no headlines for another tragic event.
Empathy takes the stage in place of apathy.
An abundance of care and love.
Contentment sought and found.
Ease into a tranquil harmony that keeps a grasp on your heart to seek and share the good.
- It is what we have hungered for.
Not just the absence of war. But, true Peace.
A harmony of spirit, a comfort of courtesies. — Maya Angelou - “Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” — Desmond Tutu
- “When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.” — Jimi Hendrix
This second week of Advent, take time to reflect on what peace looks like in your life.
